Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
Explorer Elementary is extraordinarily lucky to have a very active PTA that runs many events for our students, staff and community.
Our PTA is run by volunteers who generously dedicate their time to improve the school experience for all children and families at Explorer with the support of many, many parents and families.
The current focus of the PTA is community engagement and relationship building as evident in events like Autumn Fest, Hawk Hall Rush, Reading Olympics, Month of the Military Child, Spring Egg Hunt and many staff/teacher appreciation events throughout the year.

Volunteer at Explorer
We believe that our volunteers are an integral part of the team and that together we make a difference, one student at a time. Welcome to the Explorer Team! Thank you for being willing to give of your time and talents to the students at Explorer.
We welcome volunteers into our classrooms and have an active, consistent group of volunteers who help in the classroom, at school events, and by helping teachers with ‘take home’ projects like cutting laminating or sorting papers.
All parent volunteers at EES must pass a background check before volunteering in any classroom, on field trips, or on Field Days. Start the application process at ASD20.org.
