Each year our students participate in Reading Olympics, sponsored by our amazing PTA community. This year, our students collectively reached our school-wide goal of reading 130,000 minutes so we had to celebrate! Students who completed 20 or more challenges were recognized during morning announcements and top readers from each class were recognized during our March Hawk Assembly. Alex Hendrick, a female wrestler who will be at the Olympic Trials, did a surprise visit to the top reading class and gave an encouraging speech to students during our closing ceremony. And to top it all off, Mrs. Driver and Senora Reed had to kiss a snake!
