We began our celebration with an assembly where Mrs. Matzke led our fourth and fifth grade choir in presenting a variety of patriotic songs. The choir performance was followed by a presentation from Capt. David Sanchez of Space Command, and each of our veterans came to the podium to tell us a little bit about themselves.
Following our assembly, we paraded our veterans through the school hallways so our students could properly thank them for their service!
We ended with our veterans gathering for a short cake social.
