About Our Preschool Program

Preschool introduces children to the structure, routine and focus of school, while also teaching them a variety of cognitive, social, emotional and language skills. Let us introduce you to our preschool program.

Kindergarten

We provide tuition-free, full-day kindergarten at each elementary school. Kindergarten helps children develop a strong foundation for life-long learning in a safe, fun and structured environment. Kindergarten details.

Curriculum: K-5th Grades

Explorer's curriculum spans rigorous, research-based programs in ELA, math, science, and social studies, with social-emotional learning woven throughout the school day. Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM)

SOAR - Safety, Ownership, Attitude, Respect

Explorer Elementary is a community of students, parents and teachers with a mission of ensuring that all roads lead to learning. Safety, Ownership, Attitude to Achieve, and Respect (SOAR) - everyone who is part of this community needs to conduct himself or herself in accordance with our SOAR building-wide behavior expectations. Specials

Explorer's specials programs give every student the opportunity to discover new talents, build confidence, and develop a lifelong appreciation for fitness, creativity, and culture. From hands-on art exploration and research-based music instruction to immersive Spanish language learning and active physical education, these classes enrich the school day and support the whole child. Explorer's Monthly Character Traits 

Each trait will be taught on a daily basis though modeling, teachable moments, direct lessons, or indirectly through student/staff examples and discussions. However, there will be one trait per month that is stressed among the school and in each class. Review the character traits.
